My first career was as an Army Officer specialising in planning, training, coaching, mentoring and problem solving. My retirement from the army coincided with the 2012 Olympics and the early interest of my youngest child in bikes. For various reasons this led me to qualifying as a coach (in multiple disciplines), founding a youth cycle club and entering the world of athlete development.
I am a full time cycle coach working in schools, at clubs and supporting teams and individual riders. I am running at a 100% success rate for Learn to Ride (really proud of that statistic) and deliver an innovative Cycling PE scheme in primary schools. Riders I coach regularly race in National Series and Championships in Youth, Junior and Adult competitions.
